Monday:

Introduction to Unit 2 & breaking down Embedded Assessment 2.1

Tuesday- Wednesday:

AC- Reading project presentations & Bloom's Taxonomy Flipbook

Read "211 Billion". Break into Jigsaw groups to create leveled questions based on article/text features and discuss the possible answers. Support answers with text evidence. Then go back into home groups, share the questions with the "home group". Students give group members an opportunity to discuss questions and provide answers using text evidence.

On-level (2nd period)- Read "211 Billion" and analyze article for text features. Break into Jigsaw groups to answer questions and then go back to "home groups" and share answers.

Thurs:

Craft a conclusion using notes from discussion and share out to class (AC).

Friday: Independent Reading Day and Student Conferencing
