This quarter, there will be an extra added emphasis on writing. The students will be completing many assignments via Google Classroom, so internet access either via laptop or phone (using the app and related Google docs apps) will be necessary for completion and submission of assignments.

This week, we will be studying advertisements and the types of persuasive techniques that make the advertisements effective.

Tuesday: Activity 2.4 SpringBoard- learning about Bandwagon appeal, Avant-Garde, and Testimonials, why they are effective techniques in persuasive ads, and how we can implement these techniques into our writing.

Weds- Thurs Activity 2.5 SpringBoard- learning about celebrities, marketing, and communicating their opinions in writing about the topic "Why can celebrities have a significant influence on consumer choices?"
